Barry Restrick-Malone (born Barry Thomas Francis Malone, 29 July, 1998) is a Scottish television and theatre actor and singer. Who lives in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. On the 3rd June 2015, Barry officially, legally changed his name to Barry Thomas Restrick-Malone via The National Records of Scotland.

1998 - 2015: From the Beginning and First Roles

Barry began taking acting classes within the Citizens Theatre in Gorbals, Glasgow, when he was nine years old, he appeared in a Citizen's theatre production of On the Rim of The World, composed by Orlando Gough. He also joined a small youth theatre workshop group in Glasgow, and began working primarily in stage acting. Barry got more and more into acting as time went on. After around 6 months doing acting, Barry scored his first television appearance in STV's hit drama Taggart . He attended a Glasgow high school. Holyrood RC Secondary School, where he began to use his voice during music classes. This is were he discovered he also wanted to pursue music in his career (alongside acting). He was performing up and down his local hometown Glasgow, Scotland from around the age of twelve. Barry's name comes from his grand-father Barry Malone (who was also an Actor) and his father Barry Francis Malone. Barry didn't want people getting mixed up with the three of them and so he came up with his stage name (Barry Restrick-Malone or Bari Restrick-Malone). Barry is the son of Sharon Malone (née Restrick) and Barry Francis Malone. He was born with the middle names "Thomas Francis", but now just uses the middle name "Thomas" On 3rd June 2015. Barry changed his surname from "Malone" and now uses his double barrel surname "Restrick-Malone" This now is the surname that appears on his (i.e legal documents) passport, birth certificate, etc.Today, Barry has 6 theatre productions, 3 television/film productions and 3 professional music productions to his name.

Influences Edit

Barry names Justin Bieber as his musical influence and admits being a fan all the way back to when Biebs started off on YouTube. He also admitted on Twitter, to having a soft spot for Meghan Trainor and stated "She is highly talented and naturally pretty!, Meghan just genuinely inspires me". A few more names announced were, Dua Lipa, Cher, Adele, Florence and the Machine, Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston.

Stage and Alter Ego

On the 15th November 2013, Barry was chosen/picked to perform at the Clyde 1 Live event, alongside the Line-Up! He performed on the 13th December 2013 in The Scottish Hydro Arena. He was the first on stage (just as the auddience were setteling in) He was followed by Gary Barlow. Other act who performed on the night, at the event were The Saturdays, Union J, Rizzle Kicks, The Vamps, Tom Odell, George Bowie (GBX), John Newman, Naughty Boy, McFly(McBusted), Little Mix, Neon Jungle and many more... Barry performed Fix You by Coldplay. Barry gave the following answer to question. What type of music/songs do you perform on stage? "I usually do songs with a lot of energy and that get the auddience going. Songs from artists like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin ect."!
